My 13 yr old, Jackson, has been taking drum lessons at Taylorville Music Lessons since it opened in August of 2021. We have had a wonderful experience. Jackson has learned SO much in a short amount of time. I am in awe at how good he is! Mike has been great to work with and Jackson really looks up to him. He loves his lessons so much, he has been upset when he has had to miss. It’s worth every single penny! I’ve been a student of Mike’s for nearly 11 years, and he’s definitely a phenomenal teacher. I can speak from experience,That he can take a person with no rhythmic talent and turn that person into a drumming dynamo. He’s also been really compassionate and encouraging even during the roughest parts of my musical journey. Plus although his prices are relatively cheap, but the quality of his lessons are top notch. If you have the passion to learn music and have and a drive to practice there’s no one I’d recommend more!

Omg this is needed. Bringing back the good ole days of playing “REAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS”. Mike is a genuine person. Very devoted to the students and his Taylorville Music Lessons is a great School and is very very welcoming. I recommend him and his school and staff. The old saying “Home is where the Heart Is”. Very true in his amazing musical environment. I give him 5 stars all day long.
